All art projects at Art Barn are presented to the children as an invitation to create.  One of my favourite things is to watch how the kids interpret the projects while exploring fun and exciting new ways to express themselves, making each project their own.  Of course, I will also be there to give encouragement and help with problem solving [ if needed ].  We can all learn so much from working side-by-side in this small setting with an emphasis on imagination, collaboration and having fun! I want all Art Barn kids to feel inspired and excited about this crazy and beautiful experience we call making art.

***Art Barn is not a Fine Art studio. I try to avoid directed painting and projects with my students but instead let them explore the process and to express themselves however their imaginations desire. This is not to say there is anything wrong with directed art. It can be a lot of fun. It’s just not what Art Barn is about. If your child wants to paint a blue lion with polka dots then that is what they will paint!
